The Ultimate Self-Help Hack was a culmination of many years of trying and failing at many things. As a social scientist, a tech executive, Advisor to politicians, social observer, entrepreneur and everything in-between - I have seen it all. I have been disappointed, frustrated and inspired throughout that turbulent journey. I have been through episodes of clarity, confusion but mostly ambiguity. As a result I have sought answers everywhere and anywhere - from esteemed institutions like Oxford, London School of Economics, Stanford - studying numerous subjects: business, economics, data science, innovation, history, geography, ethics.....the list goes on. Yet all this amounted to one thing. More confusion and ambiguity. I realised I had learnt a lot about subjects but nothing about life. And so I embarked on a soul searching journey. Sadly that didnt amount to much either. Then one day it dawned on me that of everything I had learnt, until that point, only a small fraction really mattered. The rest was just noise. The rest was designed to help me understand the subjects better but added no value to real life application. So I decided I would volunteer as much of my time to share this useful fraction of valuable things I had learnt. I realised that, for most people, becoming an improved version of themselves required very little time to learn only what they need to do, not why. The Ultimate Self-Help Hack is a product of that. It is in no way a complete or even objective guide to everything! Rather, its my take on things that matter and what most of us need to know to become just a little better at those things. Why Hack? Well, I also realised the Internet is awash with useful information. The majority of it too lengthy and detailed for most people. The helpful stuff is usually written to be long enough to either enable the writer/blogger to earn some money from the content or enable advertising . I dont copy copy the work of other sites and blogs. I borrow ideas from them and repackage them in a way that helps the reader the most!!
